The Process of Getting Veneers
Getting veneers typically occurs over the course of two appointments to our office and several weeks, as each of the veneers will be custom-crafted at a dental laboratory. The first visit will be your initial consultation with Dr. Patil. Together, you will discuss your smile goals, cosmetic dental options, and oral and medical history. After discussing what getting veneers will look like for you, our team will provide you with a cost estimate and answer any questions you may have.
When you decide to move forward with treatment, we will prepare your teeth by removing a very thin layer of your enamel, think about the width of a contact lens. We will then capture impressions that will be sent to our dental laboratory.
As soon as your permanent veneers arrive, we’ll call you back in to ensure they’re a perfect fit and cement them onto your prepared teeth. Finally, before you leave our office, we’ll show you how to care for your veneers and provide you with any necessary aftercare information.
